Director - Sally Reedy

It is my pleasure to be the Director of Kinder-Haus.  I arrived in New Holland in October of 2021 when my husband and I moved from Charlottesville, Virginia.  I have directed several other centers, including one in York, Pa. for 16 years.  I have taught in public and private schools (Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade).  My bachelor’s degree is in Social Work from Eastern Nazarene College (Mass.) and my graduate work is in Elementary Education from Millersville University (Pa.).

My husband, Bud, and I have two married children and three grandchildren; we love spending time with all of them.  We also enjoy traveling, sports, music, and food.  So, we are combining those favorite things by attempting to visit all the major baseball parks, finding the restaurants Guy Fieri has discovered, and seeking out local thrift stores in the area.

One of my greatest joys is to see the light go on in a child’s eyes when they learn something new.  It has been a lifelong goal to provide excellence in my facility as well as help other teachers meet their personal goals.  I am also deeply committed to sharing the love and hope that comes from a relationship with Jesus.

I had also studied cosmetology and was very torn about what to pursue.  In the end, childcare won out and I am so grateful for that.  I have never felt so much fulfillment in working with children.  Coming into work and seeing them light up makes me so happy.  My family has said I have definitely found my calling.  I have never felt happier than I am right now working here and working with these amazing staff members who feel like family.

Outside of work, I fill my time with dancing at Cavod Academy and spending time with my family, especially taking care of my two little nieces. (Payton, 3 and Harper 1) By caring for them I have developed such a love for kids.   I like to travel, explore new places, work out, and kayaking.

By working at Kinder-Haus I have been able to pour out my love as I help children to grow.  I am very grateful to be a part of their lives!  “We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD and his strength, and his wonderful works that He has done.” Psalm 78:4
